Brr! A couple of frosts in, and Indian summer is under way. Get those cozy sweaters out of storage, and make a pot of soup. Chilly mornings, misty with fog, and a light frost give you that true sense that summer is now over.

The crafts you might want to get into could involve a fire, to make your metal pieces look old . This whole part of getting the right look on the metal can be a family project. Make it into an assembly line of putting saw blades, old nails, pieces of metal that doesn't have quite the right look yet, or even painted metal into the flames. Another station could turn them until sufficiently cooked, someone else can drag them out with a potato rake.

After letting them cool, the fun begins. Figuring out what each piece will make, or how to combine them, reconfigure them, or punched holes in them is a way of creating mind bending art. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
