And, we're off! Another delightful season of gardening and creating is upon us.

I like to start a new garden season off with a bang, and maybe a new fence. I like this one, which I built a couple of years ago and then added to it over time; twig lattice fence . It's stood the test of time, but like all twig fences, it's ephemeral and will turn to dust at some point. That's okay, you can always build another one using your coppiced willows or other shrubs. The beauty of this method of pruning is that they grow so well after a hard pruning. Try it, you won't believe how vigorously they grow back.
