Canada's birthday is the perfect day for a beach holiday - if you're in the US or anywhere else, feel free to go too! July 1 2026Driftwood is everywhere right now. Winter storms did their job, and brought in lots of well weathered wood, ready for your crafts. If you have access to a lot of it, gather some and store it for later.If you have boards that have undergone the weathering process (or even if they haven't) then you will definitely want to make some rustic cabin signs . They will be just the thing to give the vacation vibe to your cottage or garden shed. This would also be the perfect time to make some pickled window boxes out of any other wood scraps you have kicking around. Nothing gets wasted here! I may not always have the exact project in mind immediately, but I let it bubble away in the background until I can get to it.
