Well, that's it for February. It seems to take forever, but suddenly it's over - it surprises me every year.

March 1 2026

The schedule around here seems to be built around the need for Ash's naps. If he doesn't get enough sleep, he gets growly. So off to the crate (again) for a snooze. Then he's fine for an hour or two. If you don't know, Ash is a 20 month old goldendoodle, ostensibly for my service dog, but it's fairly evident now that he's just going to be a well behaved family pet. I tend to read library books while he naps.

So enough of that. While he's sleeping I want to do some painting! I look back on some of my projects, like the camouflage table and it gives me the prod to find something else to paint. I have a few things in the garage. Just give me a minute while I find them.

*Several days later*

Well, I found a couple of things that are begging for a coat of paint. One thing is a little tote that I think was meant for spices, or maybe cutlery. It's perfect for the dog grooming tools! I hammered the stuck on miniature rolling pin, and got to work.

Rustic wooden boxes caddies, trugs and all other manner of smaller projects get a lot of use here, or I sell them along with garden art that I offer for sale.

If you enjoy the small projects, like painted wooden boxes, wooden doors, foot stools etc. then we're on the same page.
