It's the dog days of summer, with picnics, beach parties, and time at the cottage. August 15 2026There's time with the family, and playing frisbee with the dog. Picking up shells on the beach, combing for heart shaped rocks. Collecting all the things that catch our fancy, and then displaying them on a rustic farmhouse table . Maybe you'll add a few very rustic tin can lanterns for when dusk falls. A whole bunch of tiny faux birds nests will add a cute touch to the whole display. What else can you put in there? Maybe some grubby candles in funky bits of metal, like cogs from a machine to hold them up. There's no end to the unique and different ways to give your table a real punch.Enjoy these last few days of a perfect summer. Fall will be here before you know it.
